Ayurvedic Solanum trilobatum tablets for respiratory and inflammatory diseases: Formulation and optimization this study reports the formulation and optimization of Solanum trilobatum tablets, a traditional herbal medicine used in respiratory and inflammatory conditions. Powder characterization Preformulation studies, tablet compression and dissolution testing were carried out to achieve desirable properties of the optimized formulatio n ST1. The optimized formulation ST1showed desirable properties such as hardness, friability and disintegration time. Dissolution studies revealed release of Solanum Trilobatum extract which enhances the therapeutic efficacy. The developed tablets are a pr omising alternative to synthetic drugs for paediatric respiratory health with further studies on long term efficacy and safety.
