A REVIEW ON POTENTIAL CARCINOGENS PRESENT IN COSMETIC INGREDIENTS INDUCING BREAST CANCER

In these era or the youth of AI we are facing a one of the challenging and dangerous disease breast cancer. Breast cancer is one of the most common cancers among wome n worldwide. In this study we are going to investigate the association between cosmetic products and developing breast cancer. The cosmetics used for beautification or enhancement of appearance are in high demand especially among the women but these produc ts have deep dark side. Here we are not talking about any specific cosmetics type, we are talking about the chemical ingredients used in the formulations like polyethylene glycol, phthalates, parabens, hydroquinone, resorcinol, 1,4 dioxane, trace heavy met als etc. Recent epidemiological studies suggest a complex relationship between cosmetic product use and breast cancer risk. The integrity products are founded by common ingredients such as aluminum compounds found in personal care, paraben, retinol, mercur y and hydroquinone for skin lightening. This review highlighted the current evidence regarding these endocrine disrupting chemicals (EDCs) and their potential role in breast cancer development. Analysis of both in vitro and in vivo studies reveals that cer tain preservatives and chemical constituents in cosmetics can exhibit weak estrogenic activity and may accumulate the breast tissue.
