A REVIEW OF KĀSAHARA DRAVYA FROM THE BHAVAPRAKĀŚA NIGHAṆṬU

In the modern era, cough is the most prevalent illness that affects everyone. According to Ayurveda, Kāsa is a Prānavaha Sṛotoduṣṭijaṅya vyādhi in which udāna vāyu and intensified prāṇa vāyu emerge from the lips with a loud sound akin to a shattered bronze bell. Bhāvaprakāśa Nighaṇṭu a classical text describes dravyas that are indicated in a variety of ailments. In this review article, Kāsahara Dravyas have been searched. According to the study, there are 93 distinct dravyas origined from plants, animals, and minerals 18 in out of the 23 vargas of medicinal dravyas listed in Bhāvaprakāśa Nighaṇṭu.
