Pharmaceutical analysis is a critical discipline that determines the methodologies required toevaluate the identity, potency, quality, and purity of pharmaceutical compound (Ibuprofen). Spectrophotometry is a widely utilized analytical technique, particularly among industries, due to its cost-effectiveness and low maintenance requirements. This method measures the absorption of monochromatic light by colorless compounds within the near-ultraviolet spectrum, specifically in the range of 200 to 400 nm. The principle is based on Beer-Lambert’s law. The working of a UV spectrophotometer involves passing the light of a specific wavelength through a cell containing the Ibuprofen solution. The transmitted light is subsequently detected by a photoelectric cell, which converts the radiant energy into electrical signals. Following the completion of the analysis, it is imperative to validate the method against key parameters such as precision, linearity, accuracy, robustness. This validation process is essential to ensure that the instrument provides reliable and consistent measurements for the pharmaceutical compound (Ibuprofen) under investigation.
