MANAGEMENT OF SECONDARY INFERTILITY AND CHRONIC UN OVULATION WITH AYURVEDIC REGIMEN: CASE REPORT

Female Infertility is an important reproductive health issue in India. Almost 60-70% of Infertility cases found to be of due to female factor. Infertility¹ is major disorder due to stressful world, lack of biological food, changing life style. Four essential factors for conception mentioned by ancient ayurveda scholar sushruta are as imperative today as they were ovum is one among these essential factors, vitiation of vata reflects ovulatory dysfunction. . Although there is no promising remedy for the ailment, Ayurvedic formulations have shown remarkable improvement in infertility due to an ovulatory cycle in isolated case report. In the present case study 41year old female had pcos with thin endometrium as per ultrasound and semen parameter of male partner was normal. She had regular but scanty menses with severe dysmenorrhea. Patient had went through 2 failed IUI cycle and 1 donar ivf failur . According to Ayurveda apanvayu governs all functions related to garbhashaya and menstrual cycle. Considering infertility, pcos and vat and pitta dushti she was treated with yog basti of Balaguduchyadi tail and dashamul kwatha for vatshamana, shatavari ghrit for utterbasti² for garbhashaya dushti and shaman chikitsa like paripathadi kadha, chandraprabha vati, ampachak vati, phalatrikadi kashay, kuberaksh vati, phala ghrit, dhanwantar tail vati, laghumalini vasant for deepan pachan and dashmularishta for vata pacification. In the 5th cycle, patient missed her menses. This case report provides us a guideline that infertility associated with Anovulatory cycle and thin endometrium can be treated successfully by following proper Ayurveda siddhantas.
